Personal data

ROCA Industry AB, company registration number 556103-3902, is the controller of the personal data you provide when placing an order with us, or signing up for our newsletter. For managing day-to-day business activities such as accounting and procurement your data is stored in our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. In other cases, e.g. for marketing purposes, your data is stored in our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform. Your data is treated with caution and we never pass on, sell, or swap your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

The reason we need your personal data is to be able to handle your order and deliver your goods, but also to improve our customer service and to optimise our communication with you.

Data that is forwarded to third parties (Data Processors), is only used to provide you with our services, as within

  • Transports (logistics companies and freight forwarders). These data processors are independent personally responsible, which means that it is their privacy policy and security regulations that apply.
  • Payment solutions (card-insolvent companies, banks, and other payment service providers). These are also independent personally responsible, which means that it is their privacy policy and security regulations that apply.
  • IT services (companies that handle the necessary operations, technical support, and maintenance of our IT solutions). Here we have written agreements through which they guarantee the security of the personal data being processed and undertake to comply with our security requirements.
  • Accounting and payroll administration. These data processors are independent personally responsible, which means that it is their privacy policy and security regulations that apply.
  • Communication and marketing. We communicate mostly by email and this communication is among other invoices, price lists, information about products, and other information we think might have your interest or which we must send to you to fulfill our obligations to fulfill your order or by law.

Our IT systems and servers are all located within the EU/EAA area, but sometimes we need to share your personal data with a data processor outside the EEA – but the data processor will only receive such information as is relevant to the purpose.

Information stored for purchases

The information needed to dispatch your order is your first and last name, your billing and delivery address, your phone number, e-mail address, and country. Your e-mail and telephone number are required for your order confirmation and so that we can contact you regarding the delivery or eventual complaints. The data is required to fulfill the terms of the purchase agreement or we will have to deny the purchase.

We will have to save your data until the purchase is done, your goods have been delivered and we have received your full payment. After your purchase has been completed we will store your data for 10 years in order to be able to handle eventual complaints.

Information stored for marketing purposes

When you subscribe to our newsletter and/or marketing communications, we’ll store your e-mail adress in our database/customer relationship management tool. When signing up for webinars or other events, we’ll ask you for additional data like first name/last name, company name etc. You can always ask for which information we have stored about you and even at any time – you can unsubscribe from our marketing messages.

We may also handle your personal data so you can take part in our competitions and such. This is to facilitate our communication with you regarding questions, designate winners, etc, and to be able to convey any winnings.

Cookies

To be able to give visitors the best possible experience of our website, we ask you to accept cookies in your browser. This is an active choice, and we offer the choice to approve certain types of cookies while rejecting others. The cookies can, besides making the website function properly, also help us analyze web traffic on the page to improve its use. ROCA Industry AB takes your integrity seriously and ensures that the information you provide us when using our services is protected. We do our utmost to maintain the technical and organizational measures required to protect all data from unauthorized persons. However, we cannot guarantee that our web shop will never be affected by viruses or spam.

It is permissible to download, print, copy, and blog about the material in our web shop for your own private purposes, but not for commercial purposes.
